This was my first doll purchase.
Having researched many different models and manufacturers I landed on this beauty and naturally had many questions about quality, different options, etc. Faye from the Real Lady team was very helpful in this regard, providing useful information and very helpful pictures and videos to showcase the quality that Real-Lady provides.
Now for the doll itself, I’m very happy to confirm that the quality I’ve seen in the pictures and videos does accurately reflect the quality of the end product. The skin is very well made and realistic, and with the softer body that I’ve gone for it feels amazing to the touch.
Production and delivery took 6.5 weeks, which was in line with what was communicated. After production I even received an email from Real Lady with various photos, asking me to confirm the quality before they send it out, which was much appreciated.
There was many goodies inside the package besides the doll, including a thank you card, 2 clothing articles, an informative manual for proper doll care and plenty more!
Now onto the reason why I unfortunately can’t give 5 stars:
Despite the amazing communication and service with both the retailer and the Real Lady directly, when the doll arrived it had what was later described to me as a “silicon bulge.”
Effectively, on the right side of the stomach area there was air trapped underneath the skin of the doll which formed a very noticeable bulge. This was, unfortunately, not visible in any of the photos that I received from the manufacturer when confirming the quality. While the retailer was quick to help by organising a repair kit with video instructions, this still lessened the overall experience quite substantially. Of course I understand that production errors can happen, but for a product at this price point I would’ve expected a bit more care and attention during quality control.
